Swing
Frame Cut-Off Machine
Our high-speed cut-off machines are a fast and
economical means for removing gates and risers from castings.
The swing frame design allows a full 90° swing clockwise and
75° swing counterclockwise. The handlebars can be
raised or lowered, shortened or lengthened. Our cut-off
machine utilizes a standard Fox spindle with a full two-year
warranty. An option allows the swing frames to be mounted on
a casting table and utilized as a chopper.
Table
and Post Mounted Cut-Off Machines
Table and post mounted Cut-Off Machine are
generally used for small parts that can be handled by the
operator. Common practice is to lock the backbone so the
bottom of the wheel is below the table surface and then
“push” the castings through the wheel, being
satisfactory for parts with small gates. For parts with
larger gates, fixturing is recommended to hold the casting securely
while cutting. The proper use of fixturing will also result
in closer, straighter cuts.
Post Mounted Cut-Off
Machines are also used for larger parts that are secured on customer
supplied fixtures or tables. Another common application is
cutting pipe or bars. The Post Mounted machines are also used
where the customer is supplying the table or with our optional split
tables.
