The Billet manipulator is a machine that is automatically controlled by an operator for the purpose of moving a billet from one area to another. Planets/Vulcan can design and build Billet manipulator to customer-configured requirement.
Planets/Vulcan’s manipulators are all heavy-duty which can withstand the heat, dust, vibration and battering of heavy industrial application and still deliver precise handling performance.
This Vulcan/Planet design and manufactured aluminum log handling system is an integral part of an extrusion process that handles rounds ranging from 6" to 29" in diameter.
The system mechanically segregates the different sizes and loads individual diameter to the conveyors where they are process by weight electronically inspected and stored.
The system, capable of handling billets form 1-1/2" to 6" in diameter, semi-automatically feeds a billet straightener. Special design features are incorporated into the system that help eliminated high sound levels, as well as damages to the equipment. |
