Automatic sand level monitoring is used during fill with a moving probe.
• The effector sensor will be lowered into the flask to the predetermined position of the first fill zone by means of a rod-less pneumatic cylinder. The cylinder is fitted with a braking unit and a linear transducer for positioning.
• When the sand level has reached the sensor, the rain gate closes.
• The sensor is then raised to the next predetermined sand fill level for Zone 2.
• This sequence will continue throughout the compaction cycle until final fill has been achieved.
